WORKFORCE INNOVATION SUMMIT A SUCCESS ​ 4.15.17

WICA founders Kimberly Kayler and Kari Moosmann helped lead the Workforce Innovation Summit at the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Convention and Exposition in Detroit, held March 29. The session featured a keynote from Pam Jeffords, partner at Mercer, on accelerating progress in your company's diversity strategy; a presentation from Sefla Naomi Fuhrman, who recently graduated with her Ph.D. in Urban Studies and presented on the topic of women in nontraditional occupations, namely the U.S. concrete construction industry; a series of roundtable discussions led by Jeffords; and a presentation from Asocreto's Manuel Lascarro on how these topics resonate outside of the U.S.

​WICA FOUNDER TO PRESENT AT REUNIÓN DEL CONCRETO  9.12.16

Kimberly Kayler, one of the founders of WICA, will be speaking at the 16th annual Reunión del Concreto in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. The convention takes place from September 21 - 23, and Kayler is among ten speakers in a forum covering the topic of women in the industry on Wednesday the 21st.


CONSTRUCTIVE COMMUNICATION, INC. VOLUNTEERS AT "INTRODUCE A GIRL TO ENGINEERING DAY"  6.2.16

​In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Constructive Communication, Inc. worked with the University of Miami to assemble a video designed to inspire young women to dream. Many clients and partners participated in the video, which can be viewed here.

Additionally, the CCI team attended “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, part of National Engineers Week. Working in conjunction with the Society of Women Engineers from the University, CCI mentored and interacted with more than 150 high school students, assisting with activities such as a competition to build a structure out of marshmallows and spaghetti. Kimberly Kayler, CCI president, also gave a presentation to a group of young students on finding balance between work and life.
